Provient de triumphtalk.com - auteur turbo Bob - sujet easier kick starting (kicker facile) for us older folks (pour croulants)
"c"est l'histoire d'un mec"
"I'm 79 years old and just found a completely restored 1978 T140V and bought it. I went to a local British bike shop to talk with the owner about the feasibility and cost of electric start conversion. He told me about a conversion he has done to a number of Triumphs that make kick starting a breeze. He replaces kick start Quadrant and the kick start pinion with parts from a 1969 Triumph T150 Trident which for one year used different parts because the company thought they would be needed to make it easier to start. They realized that it wasn't need and went back to the standard parts the next year. The idea is one gear is larger than before and the other is smaller thereby giving you greater torque for the same motion."
Conclusion de turbo bob
"So I have now had a chance to experience the gear switch and I do find it easier. Is it what was told to me about almost hand starting? I would say no to that, but it is quite a bit easier and to me it was worth the money."
